First of all, thanks to all the kind readers who voted for the panel, “Nom Nom Nom: The Secrets of Successful Foodblogging” to be presented at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Festival, back in the fall. Because I’m pleased to share that it is going to happen, in less than one week. Austin, here we come…
We, the four food bloggers on the panel discussion, along with our moderator, Rachel Kramer Bussel of Cupcakes Take the Cake. She’ll be shooting questions to Zach Brooks of Midtown Lunch, Kalyn Denny of Kalyn’s Kitchen, Addie Broyles of Relish Austin (which just posted a great round-up of food-related events at the festival), and myself. It should be an exciting discussion, and I’m told there will be free cupcakes for all! The panel is Tuesday, March 17th, at 3:30pm. If you’re headed for SXSW Interactive, too, hope you’ll stop by and say hi.
If you’re not attending the festival, or just want to get a teaser for the topics we’ll be discussing next week, there’s another chance to “chat” with us, in the early-1990’s sense of the word. Over at Relish Austin, Addie has organized a live chat session where Rachel and I will be logged in to chat with any readers. This will happen tomorrow, at 2pm EST and to chat, you just have to go to austin360.com/relishaustin. So log in to LOL and HF with us. CYO!

So, it looks like I’ll be going to SXSW after all, and I will do my best to make it to this panel! Any other exciting food events to speak of?

Cathy, you’ve put me to shame – I don’t know what HF is! But I guess I’ll find out later.

James: Yes! Click the “food-related events” link in the second paragraph. Look forward to seeing you there!
Rachel: “Have fun”! (Okay, I cheated. I Google-searched for chatroom acronyms.)
