The owners are west coasters, eager to create a slice of home in Brooklyn, and they actually do know a good bit about beer. They can't always get the west coast beers with which they are obsessed, but they always have some tasty things on tap, and I, for one, appreciate their efforts to integrate local offerings into their bar, which is decidedly west coast themed in decor, activities, snacks and spirit if not exclusively in beer.
