I've heard lots of good things about this place, and the restaurant Blue Hill. I do a lot of volunteering in NYC, and would love to venture out of Manhattan and try this; do you think it's necessary to have a background in horticulture/green thumb in order to volunteer here? That place is like 3 miles from my house, and we just started going there. I've only had dinner at Blue Hill and hit up the farm market, but have yet to do any tours or programs.
