I want to hear more about the chocolate chili! How did they get it to that thick of a consistency? Did they use eggs to make it pudding-like, or just cream and chocolate cooked for a while?

My girlfriend came up with the name. It's a quote from Wet Hot American Summer and it's a man saying it to a woman. With the contest being held in Williamsburg I was planning on calling it 'Stupid Tattoo Chili'.

I only listed Modelo as the beer in this recipe because it was what I happened to use in this batch. It was on sale at the Fairway. If you aren't using canned tomatoes or beans then you need some fluid to cover the meat for simmering. Beer and coffee are better than water and I've found that flat beer thickens faster than fresh so you don't need to add as much cornmeal at the end.

I love chili. Love to eat it, love to make it, love to doctor it up and judge other people's chili. However, I just can't do it in the summer. Must have in the fall, almost exclusively! College football + chili = yum yum!
