ch- i think retribution is used correctly (even if a bit loosely) here. tribulation has a similar meaning to trial, but if you read the retribution section then you can see they are not trials, but a sort of recompense for those trials. hence the use of retribution. yikes...looks like i may be the nitpicky one here. xx

Salad looks fabulous! I love your blog because it's the opposite of what I do when I'm in New York - eating out is a major part of each trip for me! My 14 year old nephew from Kansas City experienced NYC for the first time on Sunday. On the Upper West Side (81st & Amsterdam) he said "So is this like the hood?" and later "where are all the vagrants?" He doesn't get out much, huh?

I'm sorry to nitpick, but it's not retribution, but "tribulation." As in trials and tribulations.

this salad looks delicious. i always wonder about the green-ness of using imported products. even though the italian seas are more abundant and not as overfished, what's the cost of bringing a can of tuna over to the usa from italy? i also wonder about this with respect to frozen edamame , wines, cheeses, and loads of other specialty foods we all love.
