There is no need to reduce your green ratings because of the Argan oil. Granted, it has to travel which obviously uses energy. However, if you buy hand-crafted Argan oil, the production had left no carbon food print at all. Argan trees grow wild - there is no irrigation, no use of pesticides and no use of fertilizers. Argan nuts are hand-harvested, transported back to the village by donkey and, if hand-crafted, made with traditional stone mills operated by hand. In addition, some of the women cooperatives who produce Argan oil are involved in reforestation programs, reducing the carbon footprint even further. Compare this to US made oils with all the input required in the production! You can check out www.worldartisanguild.com/ucfa.html

I've taken the Wildman's tour of Central Park. Fun times, and really fascinating. I have never heard of Argan oil before. Hmm...maybe I'll try some.

This looks delish (the dish, definitely not the trashcan). I first began experimenting with dandelion leaves last year and found I really liked them paired with the sweetness of beets. I imagine carrots have a similar appeal. Great idea!
