I love chile rellenos. I try to make them once a month in the warmer months. I have grilled the peppers on a propane grill, placed on top of the grill on my gas cooktop, and also blackened in a cast iron pan on an electric cooktop. Whatever works! Also, you can fry them to blister the skin, and put them in a plastic bag to sweat the skins off, just rub the skin off through the bag.

Looks fantastic! This is often served vegetarian in restaurants and I often order it because it's fab. I like your potato version. When I lived in Chicago I used to get chihuahua cheese (apparently from the same area of mexica as the Taco Bell spokesdog) but can't find it that easy in my 'hood so sometimes I substitute mozzerella for that creamy melty texture.

Not very... I left about half of the seeds from the peppers in it, and it had only a mild spiciness to it.

Maybe it will taste great either way (wicked grin), but I just thought I should mention that the Spanish for chicken is "pollo". I know that Google translates "polla" as pullet, but the only use I know for the word "polla" is as the slang for the male er, appendage.

This looks really good. We made something similar recently but stuffed them with chicken and veggies and baked instead of frying.
