I am currently installing all new wood floors in my new house. I bought the gun from home depot for $450. Prefinished wood floors are a lot easier to put in than I thought. If anyone has any installation questions just ask I will be happy to help!

Yikes – going without the use of the kitchen is torture to someone who enjoys cooking. I don’t know how you do it… obviously by eating a lot of steamed creations.

Hey there,

I’ve lived in Clinton Hill/Fort Greene for almost 9 years, and although it is hard for me not to recommend some of the excellent restaurants, I WILL tell you to check out L’epicerie (tiny french gourmet shop) on Vanderbilt between Lafayette and Dekalb, the greatly-improved-since-I’ve-been-here Associated supermarket on Myrtle at Hall St, and the small but reasonably well stocked produce shop across the street (next to Los Pollitos). Also, check out the Greene Grape for wine.

This brings up a serious question: just how long do you plan on not eating out? I just checked your about page and didn’t see anything about how long (a year, a la Julie/Julia) or a month (like the media-fast you went on). Just curious…

on another note, maybe a friend can help by lending you their kitchen?
